Why Rain Gardens

I choose to edit Rain Gardens because recently in my hometown of Cadillac Michigan there has been a PFAS issue with well water in the local area. I know the rain gardens won’t solve it but it did come to my attention while I was doing research on water contamination and how to alleviate it. Water is our life in every way from our bodies to everything that we consume. Any possible way that you can improve it is an improvement for future generations not just ourselves.

Free Workshop

The wiki that I investigated that needed an update was the rain garden. It was a really easy process to do. I did the research with ChatGPT and then verified it by personally reviewing the sites to make sure that the information was right for the Wikipedia page. I figured we should use the resources that we are learning in the classroom to see how they can assist students. The overall process of posting in the wiki talk page was extremely easy as I wrote my document on a word document then pasted it after reviewing all the information and grammar. Unfortunately, I do not believe that anyone was tracking this page, so I did not get any comments or questions. I was a little disappointed with this. I do know that I posted late because I was helping a family member set up a reverse osmosis in their house for the PFAS. This is harder than it sounds, and I had a couple of hiccups. Go figure I am not a plumber and studying film and media. Overall I think this assignment and all other assignments that we have done with Wikipedia have changed my view. Before I was very skeptical of using the site for anything but today I have a new found respect for the process. Photo on the right is from the EPA.
